Manchester United bidder Thomas Zilliacus wants to team up with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qataries to complete £6billion takeover, according to The Sun.

The Finnish billionaire told The Sun: “I have reached out to both Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim to try and join forces and am waiting to hear back.”

Meanwhile, Sir Jim Ratcliffe made an improved world-record £5bn offer on Thursday.

And Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani is expected to match that before Friday’s 9pm deadline.
