Barcelona drop out of race for Manchester United transfer target

Barcelona have reportedly dropped out of the race for Manchester United transfer target Ruben Neves ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder’s contract with the club expires in the summer of 2024 and he is widely expected to depart this summer.
Barcelona were heavily linked with the Manchester United transfer target ahead of his expected departure from Wolves this summer but as per Diario Sport, they are set to pull out of the race.
Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez isn’t completely convinced by the Portuguese midfielder and has asked the club to look at other options instead.
Barcelona will instead look to sign Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan as a free agent at the end of the season.
Neves has scored 29 goals and provided 12 assists in 245 appearances for Wolves since joining the club from Porto in 2017.
