25 year old Turkey international undergoes Manchester United medical
According to the Athletic, 25 year old Turkey international goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has undergone a medical ahead of completing a move to Manchester United.
United are keen to bring in a new goalkeeper to provide back-up for summer signing Andre Onana, who arrived at the club in a £47.2m deal from Inter Milan.
He is undergoing provisional checks in Greece and subject to the results, United will have the choice to close out a deal worth around €5million or focus on another of their available options.
Any arrival would be contingent on Dean Henderson leaving, with Crystal Palace the most likely destination as things stand.
United have been pursuing Bayindir for some time but they are concerned over a back injury, hence the extra layer of medical tests.
Bayindir has five caps for Turkey and has made 145 appearances for Fenerbahce since arriving at the Turkish club in 2019.
Fenerbahce appear to have already found their replacement for Bayindir and are reportedly closing in on a move for Dominik Livakovic.
