Erik ten Hag gives injury update on Manchester United star ahead of Arsenal clash

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has given an update on the injury suffered by Raphael Varane in the 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Varane was subbed off at half-time of United’s comeback win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and replaced by Victor Lindelof.

Asked about Varane, Ten Hag said: “He had complaints, we didn’t want to risk him.

“We have Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, who could replace him, so we don’t take a risk.

“He had complaints and if it’s really bad I don’t know, we have to wait.”
