Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is already in England ahead of his Manchester United transfer.
Erik ten Hag has been searching for a back-up to Andre Onana with Dean Henderson set to join Crystal Palace on a permanent basis. The England international was involved in United’s pre-season squad but failed to make an appearance.
Romano tweeted: “Understand Turkisk goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is already in England ahead of move to Manchester United.
“€7m package deal agreed with Fenerbahce, just waiting to complete final steps as Dean Henderson will join Palace.”
Bayindir has five caps for Turkey and kept 14 clean sheets in 40 outings last season.
The 25-year-old was an unused substitute in Fenerbahce’s last match against FC Twente and appeared to wave goodbye to fans at full-time.
