According to Marca via Metro, Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella is close to sealing a move to Manchester United.
The left-back joined Chelsea in a £62m deal in 2022 from Brighton but he endured a nightmare debut campaign at Stamford Bridge.
Cucurella is yet to start a competitive fixture under Mauricio Pochettino and he’s behind Ben Chilwell in the pecking order.
Following injury to Luke Shaw, United are keen on signing a left-back and have identified Cucurella as the ideal signing.
Manchester United made an informal approach for Cucurella on Saturday and Marca say the Spaniard is now close to completing a loan switch to Old Trafford.
Chelsea are likely to demand an upfront fee, plus full covering of Cucurella’s wages in order for him to move to the north-west.
The defender is said to be keen on a move to Old Trafford following a frustrating 12 months in west London.
