Lyon respond to Manchester United’s offer to sign Lyon star

French club Lyon have reportedly responded to Manchester United’s offer to sign Nicolas Tagliafico on a loan.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is keen on signing a left-back before the transfer window closes on Friday with Luke Shaw out injured for two months and Tyrell Malacia yet to play this season due to injury.

According to Le Parisien via Metro, Lyon have turned down Manchester United’s bid to sign Tagliafico on loan, and have instead insisted that an obligation to buy must be included in any deal.

The Argentine worked under Ten Hag at Ajax and left for Lyon in the same summer the Dutchman departed for Old Trafford.
