According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella.

United are interested in signing the Spaniard on loan as cover for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, who could both be sidelined until November because of injury.

Romano tweeted: “Understand Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle with Cucurella on personal terms. Green light arrived on player side.

“Man United won’t negotiate for any other left back now — as they want to get Cucurella deal done with Chelsea ASAP.”

Manchester United are reportedly in talks with Chelsea to sign Cucurella, with Manchester United offering a small loan fee and coverage of Cucurella’s wages, according to ESPN.

The 25-year-old is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge just a year after his £55 million ($69.5m) move from Brighton.

Cucurella is yet to feature under Mauricio Pochettino this season and Chelsea have been open to letting him leave all summer.
