Manchester United are keen on signing Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella before the transfer window closes on Friday due to injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
The Red Devils submitted a proposal to sign the Spaniard on a season-long loan deal on Tuesday which Chelsea rejected.
While Chelsea are open to Cucurella joining Manchester United on a season-long loan deal, the Blues want his wages covered and a £7m loan fee, according to Metro.
But Manchester United offered a £2million loan fee to sign Cucurella, leading Chelsea to reject the proposal.
Talks are ongoing between the two clubs as they seek to thrash out an agreement before the transfer window closes.
Chelsea paid £62million to sign Cucurella from Brighton last summer.
