According to L’Equipe via GOAL, the attitude of Donny van de Beek cost him a move away from Manchester United this summer.

French club Lorient reached out to the representatives of Van de Beek in mid-August about signing the Manchester United midfielder but Van de Beek refused to speak with the French outfit at that time as he waited on other offers.

Van de Beek’s representatives reached out to Lorient as the window ran down – only to be informed that the French club are no longer interested in signing the midfielder.

Lorient are said to have been unimpressed at the Dutchman’s supposed arrogance, as he sought a better deal elsewhere, and refused to rekindle their earlier interest.

Van de Beek now finds himself stuck at Manchester United following Lorient’s refusal to rekindle their earlier interest in the midfielder.
