Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed 29 year old centre-back Eric Bailly has left Manchester United for Turkish side Besiktas.

Romano wrote: “Official, confirmed. Eric Bailly signs in as new Besiktas player on permanent deal from Man United. One year contract, completed.”

Bailly joined United in a £30m deal from LaLiga side Villarreal under Jose Mourinho seven-years ago, but has failed to convince Erik ten Hag he is worthy of a place within his squad.

The 29-year-old spent last season on-loan at French side Marseille before returning to United at the end of the season following the expiration of his loan spell.

Turkish clubs have until September 15th before their transfer window closes whereas the Premier League transfer window shut last Friday.
