REVEALED: Former Real Madrid star snubbed Man United transfer during the summer transfer window

According to the Sun, former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos snubbed a move to Manchester United during the summer transfer window before sealing a move to Sevilla.

The Spanish defender, 37, left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season after two years in the French capital.

The World Cup winner also rejected a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, instead choosing to return to his former club Sevilla.

Manchester United offered Ramos a one year deal worth £73,000-a-week to move to Old Trafford as a replacement for the injured Raphael Varane but Ramos immediately rejected United’s advances.

Manchester United were reportedly upset that Ramos swiftly turned down the offer from Manchester United.

Ramos spent three seasons in Sevilla’s first team between 2003 and 2006 after graduating from the Sevilla academy, playing 50 games.

He then went on to enjoy a 16-year stint with Real Madrid where he won four Champions Leagues and five LaLiga titles.
