“That’s the challenge for him now” – Gareth Southgate explains what Jadon Sancho must do to get back into the England team

England manager Gareth Southgate has challenged enigmatic Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho to show he deserves to be in the England squad.
The Three Lions boss was open on his demands from his players as he expects them to show the right attitude and application in their game.
When asked about Jadon Sancho’s future with England after seeing him fall out of favour at Man United, Gareth Southgate said: “I think that’s the challenge for him now.”
“It’s been the best part of a couple of years since we worked with him, it’s difficult to say exactly the position that he finds himself and where he is with it all.
“But for every player that’s not with us, there is always an opportunity if they can seize the form and have the [right] level of performances.”
Sancho has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and complicated issues with his recent burst-up with Red Devils manager Erik ten Tag over statements made concerning his attitude and application in his game.
The Englishman is likely to be sold next year by the Red Devils unless he is able to turn things around spectacularly in the months ahead.
