According to reports from MEN, Manchester United are considering to release striker Anthony Martial if he continues to show lack of improvement in his game.

The Frenchman who turns 28 in December has scored a dismal 17 goals for the club in the last three years.

With his contract due to expire next year, the club hierarchy must decide whether to trigger the option of a one-year extension or let him leave.

However, it is unlikely that he will be offered a new deal, especially after the signing of Rasmus Hojlund.

The Frenchman has struggled with fitness and inconsistent form over the years. Signed as an expensive teenage talent, Martial has scored 88 goals across all competitions since his move to Old Trafford in 2015.
