Brazilian star responds to Manchester United transfer links
Monaco defender Vanderson has referred to Manchester United’s reported interest in him as “great”, but he also reiterated his commitment to the French side.
The 22-year-old fullback’s impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed and have earned him international recognition as he made his senior debut for Brazil in June.
The right-back was also on the bench for Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Bolivia on Saturday and has been asked about his club’s future while away with the Selecao.
“It’s great to hear Barcelona and United ‘love’ you,” Vanderson said.
“It’s fantastic to know your name is being mentioned by the big clubs,” he added. “But, now I’m focused only on Monaco.”
Reports claim that the club scouted the former Gremio man last season. However, we face a fierce battle for the player’s signature from Spanish giants, Barcelona.
Vanderson’s versatility could prove a real asset for Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag as it would help him to fix what has been a problem area in his team so far.
