Bruno Fernandes sends message to Andre Onana
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has defended teammate Andre Onana after the goalie was blamed for our Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
Despite starting brightly, United were brought down to earth by Leroy Sane’s opening goal in the 28th minute which came courtesy of a huge error from Onana who allowed the winger’s shot to squirm through his hands and into the net.
The Cameroonian has come under scrutiny and criticisms recently for his below-par performances, but United captain Bruno Fernandes, however, sent a message of support to him.
He said: “Andre’s a great goalkeeper. He will keep giving us a lot of points, a lot of saves.
“He doesn’t have to take blame for anything, we have to take the blame as a team, we’re going to go through this moment together because we’re strong as a team.”
