Manchester United pay respect to Munich Air Disaster victims
Manchester United have paid tribute to the victims of the Munich air disaster.
The club in solidarity with Munich sent a delegation for a visit as confirmed in a club statement.
A club statement read: “A Manchester United delegation has visited Manchesterplatz to pay their respects to those who tragically lost their lives in the Munich Air Disaster. The darkest day in the club’s history in 1958 is marked by the memorial and wreaths were laid by manager Erik ten Hag and assistant coach Steve McClaren.
“Chief executive officer Richard Arnold and legendary former captain Bryan Robson were also in attendance, presenting another wreath on behalf of the club.”
