375,000-a-week Manchester United star and one other player failed to impress against Burnley
Manchester United returned to winning ways all thanks to Bruno Fernandes winner.
Here’s the Manchester United Players Ratings:
Jonny Evans – 8
In his first start for the club after eight years, the player did more than enough to remind everyone of his immense quality. Produced a defensive masterclass with 8 clearances and also showed his attacking instinct with his assist for Fernandes an amazing long ball into the box. No doubt deserves to be named Man of the Match.
Casemiro – 7.5
The Brazilian was back to his usual best and played in beast-like mode by winning a lot of key battles in midfield. Made some crucial challenges, including two tackles and six possession recoveries too.
Andre Onana – 7
After his nightmare against Bayern, the Cameroonian looked more relaxed and reliable in goal, making a fantastic reflex save early on to keep the team in the game. Made a few more nice saves and more assured with his collection as well as distribution.
Hannibal Mejbri – 7
The youngster got a rare start and showcased impressive work ethic, pressing the Burnley players brilliantly and moved the ball forward well. He was also involved in the attacking play as he created a few nice chances and kept the opponents on the edge.
Marcus Rashford – 5
Not the kind of contribution the Manchester United talisman would have wanted to give against Burnley. He actually created a few genuine chances and looked bright moving forward. But his decision-making was mostly frustrating, as he wrongly decided to take shots rather than make passes. He was the worst of team’s attackers.
Scott McTominay – 4
He seems to be playing with a weight on his shoulders and often looked a bit clueless in possession. Often gave the ball away and preferred to play it safe than impose himself in the game. This is another playing opportunity wasted for a player fighting for his United career.
