Erik ten Hag explains why he started Jonny Evans against Burnley

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that the reason Lisandro Martinez missed the Burnley game is because he is injured.
Speaking about his three changes to the Man United starting XI in the Burnley clash, Erik ten Hag said: “Licha Martinez is injured, that’s why he’s not available.
“With Hannibal and Scott McTominay, we want to bring energy to the midfield, some power and we think we need that.
“He [Evans] will bring organisation, communication and he’s composed. He knows the job, he knows exactly what to do and he’s had enough games. He comes in and he will do the job.”
The Dutch tactician replaced Martinez who is not fully fit with Johnny Evans in the starting line-up. Evans was named Man of the Match after a stunning performance. He even scored a goal which was eventually ruled out by an unfortunate offside decision.
