‘We made a bit of eye contact’ – Jonny Evans reveals his secret code with Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United veteran defender Jonny Evans has revealed he made eye contact with Bruno Fernandes before the goal against Burnley.

The Irishman provided an assist for the Portuguese to score a spectacular goal that won us the game. He has now opened up on the secret behind the goal.

“We were finding it hard to break them down and I was given a bit of time in their own half, so I thought just maybe try and stretch them a bit,” he said.

“We made a little bit of eye contact just before I made the ball and I thought that I’ve got to hit and it’s worth a shot and as soon as it came off his boot I thought it’s a goal.”

Evans was also unlucky to have a goal ruled out by VAR.
