‘Their bench costs several hundred million’: Roy Hodgson dismisses Manchester United issues ahead of EFL Cup clash
Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson insists playing against Manchester United is not an easy game despite United’s struggles this season.
The Eagles boss claims that the quality in the United squad which cost millions makes United a strong opposition.
Speaking to reporters ahead of Tuesday’s game, Roy Hodgson said: “We are talking about one of the two biggest football clubs in the world.
“So even though Manchester United might not be firing on all cylinders, they’re still going to look at a bench probably which has cost several hundred million.
“I’m not prepared to say it will be an easy game because they found themselves in the eye of criticism. It will be a very difficult game, but it a great experience.”
We return to action on Tuesday night with an EFL Cup third round clash against Hodgson’s Crystal Palace side at Old Trafford.
