Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has hailed the performance of summer signing Sofyan Amrabat in our win over Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

The Moroccan who was making his first full-debut for the club was superb in the game despite playing out of position at left-back.

Ten Hag was impressed with the Moroccan on his Manchester United debut.

“That’s why we play him there, I know he’s capable,” said the Dutchman of Amrabat at full-back.

“He’s a player, where the team needs him, he plays there.

“He gives contribution to the team, that is quality, but also the energy and the dynamic he brings.”
