Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has blamed the club for failing to get the best out of talented forward Jadon Sancho despite his disciplinary issues.

The Englishman who faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford has been heavily criticised for failing to live up to expectations at Old Trafford, but Berbatov also thinks that the club must take some blame as well.

“The club has to ask itself questions, too, asking whether they made the player feel comfortable and if they gave him the right environment,” Berbatov said.

“It’s a two-way street, especially when you’ve spent so much money on your asset, you need to make the player comfortable and help them feel appreciated enough to show his talents.”
