Should have Manchester United been awarded a penalty in Crystal Palace defeat? Mike Dean gives his reaction

Manchester United lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace on a rainy Saturday afternoon at Old Trafford, but again there was a controversial VAR decision again.
Palace secured all three points courtesy of a stunning first-half goal by defender Joachim Andersen.
The major headline moment in the game came as Eagles defender Joel Ward’s handball denied Marcus Rashford from receiving a dangerous Bruno Fernandes pass.
VAR decided not to award a penalty for it however, which seemed controversial to the United fans and players.
Speaking as the referee expert on Sky Sports‘ soccer Saturday, Mike Dean had his say on the potential penalty call.
The former Premier League referee said: “He didn’t know it was coming, he wasn’t facing the ball”, before agreeing it wasn’t a penalty.
