Peter Schmeichel criticises new Man United player for his disappointing performance in Crystal Palace loss

Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel has slammed Sofyan Amrabat for his disappointing performance in our 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

The Moroccan was guilty of giving away cheap fouls all game – one of which led to Palace scoring the winner via a free-kick in the first half.

Despite being deployed out of position at left-back, former United goalie Schmeichel was left unimpressed with his performance.

The Manchester United legend told Premier League Productions: “We talked about Amrabat before the game, it is first full Premier League game and he has just not had a great game so far.

“He gives a silly foul away which leads to this free kick.

“I expected a Danish player [United striker Rasmus Hojlund] to score at the other end today but for Joachim Anderson to hit the ball like that, what a fantastic goal.”
