‘Prepare for the worst’: Message sent to Ten Hag and Manchester United

A Manchester United fan named Nick has sent a message to the Manchester United board over signing a replacement for injured star Lisandro Martinez who has been ruled for about three months.

The Argentine defender is expected to undergo a second surgery on his foot to repair a recurring metatarsal injury he sustained in April last year.

This is obviously a big blow for the club, and Nick has called for his replacement to be signed with immediate effect.

Nicky 5168 wrote: “Rooney, Beckham and Neymar suffered from recurring metatarsal injuries throughout their career, and while it wasn’t the end it made them less of a player.

“I think United should look for a replacement already, because he might never become as good as he was last season, which is sad, but you should always prepare for the worst.”

Meanwhile, the club have been linked with a number of defenders ahead of the January transfer window. It remains to be seen if the club will eventually sign one.
