Erik ten Hag reveals new problem Scott McTominay has given him
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has described Scott McTominay’s man-of-the-match performance in our win over Brentford as “fabulous”.
The Dutchman was pleased with the player’s impact in the game and the fact he’s making efforts to be in the United starting XI.
“Scott McTominay? Fabulous,” said Erik ten Hag when asked about the midfielder’s game-changing brace against Brentford.
“When you come in with the end of the game near and you bring that mindset, that energy and that confidence, he fought for every meter, for every ball, and he was rewarded.
“McTominay pushing for a starting spot? I like this kind of problem.”
The Manchester United boss continued raving about McTominay, adding: “He is Man United in his heart. He is playing for the badge and gives his life.”
Prior to McTominay’s substitution, United were heading for a defeat, but two quick-fire goals from the Scotsman turned despair into delirium for the United fans.
