Presenter lists the players helping Manchester United, and those who are the problem of the team
Top Manchester United fan and Youtuber Mark Goldbridge has blamed Manchester United’s summer signings for the club’s recent poor performances this season.
United boss Erik ten Hag signed the likes of Andre Onana, Rasmus Hojlund, Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat in the summer, but Goldbridge is yet to see the impact any has made so far.
According to Goldbridge, the old players with little minutes are even doing better than some of the new signings.
He told talkSPORT: “The players that Ten Hag’s brought in – Onana, he’s our goalkeeper and I hope he turns it around, but that’s a terrible mistake today if you’ve not seen it. David De Gea doesn’t make those mistakes.
“Mason Mount, he’s taken him off. Where does Mason Mount fit into the team if Bruno plays?
“There are question marks about his transfer spend at the moment.
“Hojlund looks good and the result today is fantastic but if you look at how they got the result, the players who got the result aren’t anywhere near the first team.”
He added: “I thought that Maguire and Evans did really well today and considering the lack of defensive options, it’s the story of the game.
“McTominay’s not had a look-in, Maguire’s only played 20 Premier League minutes, Jonny Evans had only played against Burnley, Garnacho has not had the starts that he should have had.
“I was thinking, into stoppage time, if we lose it then he’s losing the players but he didn’t lose the players who stepped in and haven’t had any game time so it’ll be interesting to see what he does in his next starting line up because his signings aren’t delivering.”
