One Manchester United player included in Premier League Team of the Week
Manchester United star Scott McTominay has been included in Garth Crooks’ Premier League Team of the Week after his heroics in United’s home win over Brentford on Saturday.
The Scotland international scored twice as a substitute to turn defeat into victory for United against the Bees.
His outstanding performance hasn’t gone unnoticed. BBC’s Garth Crooks had this to say on McTominay’s performance:
“I don’t normally select a player for my team who has only been on the pitch for 10 minutes, but when you have such a significant impact on a game it would be rude not to.
“Two goals scored and one disallowed by Scott McTominay turned what was rapidly turning into a nightmare for manager Erik ten Hag into something of a massive relief…”
Here’s Garth Crooks Team Of the Week: Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham), William Saliba (Arsenal), Cristian Romero (Tottenham), Micky van de Ven (Tottenham), Jack Harrison (Everton), Scott McTominay (Manchester United), Declan Rice (Arsenal), Willian (Fulham), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Alexander Isak (Newcastle), Raheem Sterling (Chelsea)
