According to reports, Manchester United United potential owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s new minority stake would potentially give him sporting control of the club; a role which has been expanded on by others.

The INEOS owner also intends to do a 100-day review of the club, and Erik ten Hag’s job is not thought to be under any threat.

It is claimed that a new sporting structure is likely to be considered by Ratcliffe, with Paul Mitchell, who has previously worked at Tottenham and Monaco, as one person under consideration for a sporting director role.

Meanwhile, Mancheste United fans are only too keen to see the Glazers leave the club. But as things stand, it won’t be happening soon.
