Jim Ratcliffe’s Old Trafford plan revealed as he completes Manchester United takeover
According to The Times, Manchester United new stakeholder Jim Ratcliffe, is keen on increasing the capacity of Old Trafford if he is successful in buying 25 percent of the club’s shares.
The Times reports that the need to expand and upgrade Old Trafford have been a significant part of negotiations between Ratcliffe and the Glazers, the club’s current owners.
As part of his offer, Ratcliffe’s company Ineos is looking at the possibility of expanding Old Trafford to 90,000, which would put it on par with Wembley.
The club will make a decision on Thursday whether or not to accept Ratcliffe’s offer of acquiring 25 per cent of the club for £1.3billion.
