‘I hope one day to reach his level’: Hojlund admits he wants to be like this Man City star
Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has hailed Manchester City striker Erling Haaland as the world’s best striker and hopes to reach his level one day.
In an interview with TV2, the Dane was asked him being compared to Haaland due to similarities in their style.
He answered: “I hope that one day I can reach his level, but right now, I think it is too early. Erling is in any case the world’s best striker, if not the world’s best footballer. I don’t really want to be compared to him, but I hope that one day I can be like him.
“Who knows? I am only 20 years old. We will have to see what it can end up with. As I said, Erling is a class player. He has had some absolutely outstanding years! He must stop when we meet him! He is a crazy football player. I try to learn from him.”
The 20-year-old striker has made a decent start to his Manchester United career and is currently the top-scorer in the Champions League with three goals in two games.
