Erik ten Hag sends message to Manchester United trio ahead of Sheffield United clash
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has backed United trio Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund to continue their top form at international level for the club.
The Red Devils striker has struggled for form this season, but gave a reminder about his ability in an eye-catching performance in England’s 3-1 win over Italy during the international break.
Both Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund were among the goals for their respective countries, Portugal and Denmark during the international break.
Speaking via MUTV on his returning members of the squad, he said:
“I think it’s very positive he scored for England and I think [for] England [it] was a very good performance. I really enjoyed that game, but also I enjoyed the players who were involved from us and you see the qualities and I’m sure, yeah, the form was [in] the last games maybe not that good, but I’m sure I will back them.
“I trust them, I believe in them and I’m sure they will be back in very good shape and it will be [a] very [big] benefit to our game and to our results. And that will not take long.”
