Some Manchester United fans seem to have lost confidence in summer signing Sofyan Amrabat after series of poor performances in recent games.
The 27-year-old has failed to live up to expectations, and this has drawn the ire of Old supporters who are now starting to wonder whether the Morocco international has what it takes to succeed at the club in the long term.
Here are some of their reactions on RedCafe:
MaT23 (all reactions via RedCafe): “We need a midfielder who can be a backbone of our team. And this guy is not the one.”
Hester_manc: “He is just not good enough. I would prefer Fred or Sabitzer over Amrabat, and I see it as a typical mistake — a player has a fantastic World Cup and a big club wants him after that.”
Theatreofdreams777: “He is painfully average. I hope we don’t further waste £20 million on him. The deal shouldn’t be made permanent.”
MadDogg: “From what I’ve seen from Amrabat so far, I don’t think he’s somebody who should be starting for us long-term”
Gaffs: “He is really limited, which explains why no one bought him despite the amazing World Cup performances. I would say Conor Gallagher offers more.”
Insanity: “He’s mediocre mid-table Serie A plodder with no upside or stand out qualities. Speed, speed of thought, vision, passing are all inferior to what you would want in a central midfield singing for a top club.”
