According to a report from Defensa Central, Manchester United star Casemiro has been linked with a move back to Real Madrid.

Previous reports had claimed that the Brazilian regrets moving to Old Trafford.

Further details of the report claim that Los Blancos supremo Florentino Perez is “preparing” a move for the veteran midfielder in January, with a “very affordable” transfer fee of €61 million touted.

The report notes: “Things are not going well at Old Trafford for the former Real Madrid midfielder, who regrets having left the white club to embark on an adventure in the Premier League that is not going as he imagined.

“Casemiro dreams of returning to what he was and Florentino can offer a surprise by lending a hand in exchange for €61m.

“The operation has heated up in recent hours and could be the big surprise of 2024.”

The Brazilian is under contract at Old Trafford until 2026.
