Manchester United legend Roy Keane has urged Erik ten Hag to relieve Bruno Fernandes of  captain’s duties at Manchester United because of his constant moaning especially when the chips are down.

“I’d 100% take the captaincy off Bruno Fernandes,” the former Man United midfielder said on Sky after the City game in which Bruno put in another anonymous display.

“Bruno Fernandes is not captain material. He’s moaning all the time. He’s the complete opposite to what a captain should be for me.”

Meanwhile, he also urged the United board to give time to Erik ten Hag to turn things around following a difficult start to the season.

Asked whether Erik ten Hag should be sacked, former Red Devils skipper Keane replied: “He has got to be given more time.”
