According to a report by Romanista via The Hard Tackle, Manchester United are interested in signing 27-year-old AS Roma defender Gianluca Mancini.
Mancini made a name for himself while playing at Atalanta. On the back of his impressive performances, he joined AS Roma in the summer of 2019. He initially joined them on a season-long loan but the move was made permanent in the following summer.
The 27-year-old has gone from strength to strength since joining the Italian giants. He has featured in a total of 195 matches and has even contributed towards 17 goals. He is one of the pillars of Jose Mourinho’s team and is currently the vice-captain of the club.
Manchester United have identified strengthening the defence as a priority and have identified Mancini as the ideal target due to his experience and also his leadership qualities.
It is believed Roma will demand for around €30million to sell Mancini to Manchester United.
