According to German Bild via The Hard Tackle, Manchester United remain interested in signing RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba.

The Red Devils were keen on signing the 20-year-old centre-back in the summer transfer window and are still keen on the youngster despite missing out on his signature a few months ago.

Castello Lukeba is one of the most highly-rated young defenders in the world. He joined RB Leipzig from Lyon last summer and has continued to impress in the Bundesliga.

Manchester United failed to sign the centre-back in the summer transfer window after Harry Maguire remained at Old Trafford. 

With Raphael Varane on the wrong side of 30 and having lost his place in the starting XI, Manchester United are keen to sign Lukeba as a replacement for the Champions League winner.
