Manchester United have made contact with the agent of Antoine Griezmann ahead of a potential move, according to Spanish media outlet Nacional via Manchester Evening News.
Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is keen on adding a goalscorer to the squad and has given the greenlight for the club to sign the Atletico Madrid forward.
Griezmann, 32, has been in outstanding form for Atletico Madrid this season, registering eight goals and one assist in 12 appearances. Last season, he racked up an impressive 15 goals and 16 assists in La Liga.
Manchester United have reportedly sent representatives to speak with the agent of Griezmann and are willing to triple his current salary.
The report adds that Griezmann’s current contract includes a release clause, thought to be just €25m (£22m).
