Ten Hag rates his tactics against Everton
Manchester United seemed rejuvenated after the international break, and got off with a 3-0 victory against Everton at the Goodison Park.
It was an impressive performance from Erik ten Hag’s side, and the Dutchman was pleased with his side’s display.
Ten Hag also admitted that he made some tactical adjustments at half-time to ensure his side didn’t lose the game.
He said: “The start of the game, very good. A very good team goal, the finish was incredible – world class. Probably already the goal of the season. Magnificent moment.
“Then we went passive and Everton went in the game. At half-time we corrected it and were very good. We were proactive, taking the initiative and scoring great goals.
“At first I was wondering why it was not a penalty. So obvious. Happy we got the penalty. We have some very good penalty takers. There you saw the captaincy – he knew a player needed the goal. It will help him and give him extra strength.
“Excellent team goal and an excellent finish [from Martial]. We have front players, a lot has to do with confidence and belief.”
