Man United star likened to Chelsea legend Frank Lampard
Former France international, Patrice Evra has compared Scott McTominay to Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard, following his performance in the Blues’ 2-1 defeat away to Manchester United on Wednesday.
McTominay netted a brace for his side, with both goals coming in two different halves. The first came from a poor Chelsea clearance in the first period, after the ball fell to his feet in the visitors’ box, while the second came off his head later in the second half, as he beat Levi Colwill to a cross from Alejandro Garnacho.
The goals were McTominay’s fourth and fifth goals of the season, which makes him United’s highest-goalscorer so far in the ongoing campaign.
Evra later told Amazon Prime: “McTominay is always there when it is an important game scoring goals.
“He reminds me a bit of Frank Lampard. He is doing this for United and the Scottish national team so very well done.
“He could have scored four. After the game he was a little bit disappointed. He had so many chances, he is always in the right place and always running into the box, this is why he reminds me of Lampard tonight.”
