Manchester United suffer embarrassing defeat against Bournemouth
Manchester United had a day to forget, as the Red Devils were beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth.
It was a lacklustre Manchester United performance, coming off the back of a superb 2-1 win over Chelsea.
Just inside five minutes, the Cherries won the ball in United’s half, with Dominik Solanke scoring the opener for the visitors.
Bournemouth were the better side in the first half, and even had a goal correctly ruled out for offside.
United didn’t fare better in the second-half, even though they started the half brightly.
It was from bad to worse for Erik ten Hag’s men, as they conceded two quick-fire goals in the 68th and 73rd minute.
At this time, morale became low for United, as the Cherries strolled to an easy win. The visitors nearly added more misery for Manchester United, after a quick break saw the visitors score in stoppage time, but for the intervention of VAR.
