Manchester United set to reach Jadon Sancho agreement
According to reports, Manchester United are close to agreeing a deal with Borussia Dortmund, which will see Jadon Sancho return to his former club on loan for the remainder of the season.
Manchester United signed Sancho for £73million from Dortmund back in 2021,and the 23-year-old has not played for the Red Devils since August after falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.
Sancho took to social media to claim he was being made a ‘scapegoat’ by his manager, after being accused of a lack of effort in training.
Ten Hag was furious and demanded an apology from Sancho, which never came. Sancho has since been banished from the Manchester United training ground as well.
United had hoped for a deal to sell Sancho this month, but no concrete offers have come.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, talks have now advanced to the final stages between Dortmund and Manchester United for Sancho.
The Times however claim that Dortmund are only willing to pay one-third of Sancho’s £300,000-a-week wages during the loan spell.
United will have to pay the rest of his salary, which comes to around £5.2m, while they will receive a relatively modest loan fee from the German club.
