Manchester United star tells his agent he wants to complete dream move to Barcelona
According to The Sun via Metro, Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has told his agent that he wants to complete a dream move to Barcelona.
The 22-year-old joined Spanish side Getafe on a season-long loan where he has scored five goals and laid on four assists in 19 appearances.
His performances on loan at Getafe has attracted interest from Barcelona and the forward wants to make the move to Barcelona in the summer.
A source told The Sun: “Barcelona want to sign Greenwood, and he wants to move there. The next step is for the clubs to come to an agreement.
“Manchester United want to sell the player and the manager has accepted Greenwood won’t be returning.
“The view is that it is best for all parties to have a clean break. As talented as Greenwood is, a return to the club when they are at the start of a new chapter, with new owners, is regarded as a backward step.”
