Salah, who returned to the starting lineup for the first time since January 1, made an immediate impact by scoring in Liverpool’s emphatic 6-1 victory over Sparta Prague in the Europa League on Thursday.
This achievement marked Salah as the first Liverpool player to hit the 20-goal mark in seven straight seasons.
Salah has found the back of the net against Manchester United more than any other team, with 12 goals in 13 appearances. His comeback represents a major boost for Liverpool as they aim for a historic quadruple.
“Mo is pure quality and ask him what he likes the most about Manchester United,” Jurgen Klopp told his pre-match press conference on Friday.
“Just an exceptional guy, a world-class player and how we dealt without him is unbelievable. But it is better to have him around and on the pitch than just in the changing room.
“We could build him now with minutes and he is ready for Sunday.”
