Southgate is currently preparing England for EURO 2024, which takes place in Germany this summer and has refused to discuss his future until after EURO 2024.
New Man United owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly confident of luring the England boss, whose contract with the FA expires in December, to Old Trafford.

Ratcliffe would have to pay around £800,000 in compensation to hire Southgate this summer but would like a decision from the Three Lions manager sooner rather than later, so he can begin to plan for the 2024/25 season.
Ratcliffe is reportedly not convinced that Ten Hag is the right manager for Man United, even if he secures Champions League qualification and wins the FA Cup.
Should Ten Hag be sacked as Man United boss at the end of the season, the Dutchman will receive a compensation of around £10million.
