Manager offered four times his wages to reject Manchester United

Manchester United are reportedly considering Kieran McKenna, the current manager of Ipswich Town, as a leading candidate to replace Erik ten Hag.
McKenna, who has guided Ipswich to back-to-back promotions, has been impressive in his managerial role, leading to interest from multiple Premier League clubs, including Brighton and Manchester United.
United’s interest in McKenna comes amid claims that Erik ten Hag will be sacked after the FA Cup final, after a very poor season at Old Trafford, with United experiencing their worst position in the Premier League this season.
Ipswich have reportedly offered McKenna quadruple his wages to stay put, amidst interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Brighton.
The report by The Sun claims that Ipswich have offered McKenna a huge new deal to remain as manager at Portman Road.
The Tractor Boys board are desperately fighting to keep hold of their manager, and have offered him a £5million-per-year contract that would quadruple his wages for another four years.
However, it still may not be enough to keep him at Ipswich, with Chelsea and Manchester United keen to offer much more than that.
