Chelsea will not be playing in the Europa League next season after Manchester United defeated Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

Manchester United beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final to secure a place in the Europa League next season.

This result has significant implications for European qualification slots from the Premier League. Since Manchester United won the FA Cup, they secured a Europa League spot, leaving Chelsea to qualify for the Europa Conference League instead​.

Chelsea finished the Premier League season in sixth, but FA Cup outcome means that despite Chelsea’s recent efforts and performances in the league comes to nothing.
