Manchester United make final decision on Erik ten Hag

Erik ten Hag is expected to continue as Manchester United’s manager for next season.
Despite a challenging season where Manchester United finished eighth in the Premier League, Ten Hag hinted at his intention to stay by stating, “We go for next season” after discussions with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS group.
These talks appear to have provided Ten Hag with some confidence about his future at the club.
Reports before the FA Cup final against Manchester City suggested that Ten Hag’s position was under threat regardless of the result.
However, after United’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the final, which secured United the FA Cup, there has been a significant push from within the club, including support from players like Jonny Evans, for ten Hag to continue.
While there were uncertainties about his future leading up to the final, it now seems certain that Ten Hag will remain as Manchester United manager.
Ten Hag’s existing United contract runs until next June, with an option to prolong by an extra year.
