Southgate slammed for dropping Manchester United star

The brother and agent of Marcus Rashford has taken a dig at Gareth Southgate following England’s 1-1 draw with Denmark at Euro 2024.
It was a lacklustre display from England, as they laboured to a 1-1 draw against Denmark.
Rashford’s brother posted on his Instagram story: “It’s hard to sit and watch when you honestly believe your man could make a difference!”
The front three of Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden were all hauled off in a triple change in the second-half, as Ollie Watkins, Jarrod Bowen and Ebrerechi Eze were introduced, but the changes didn’t yield the desired results.
Explaining the decision to leave the 26-year-old Rashford out of his squad, Southgate said last month: “These are of course difficult calls, you’re talking about players who are very good players and who have been an important of what we’ve done over a number of years.
“With Marcus I just feel other players in that area of the pitch have had better seasons, it’s as simple as that.”
